Introduction

The Presidium of the Czech Science Foundation (GACR) has set the promotion and strengthening of international cooperation and supporting the better integration of Czech scientists into the world scientific community as one of the priorities of the GACR programme. The main objective of the international cooperation is to establish bilateral research project schemes with foreign partner funding agencies, in order to enable the better exchange of scientific information and techniques and the use of specialized equipment available in the countries involved.

On June 8, 2005 a Memorandum of Understanding on Research Cooperation between the Czech Science Foundation (GACR) and the Korea Research Foundation (KRF), presently National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF), was signed in Prague and subsequently on January 23, 2006 a Memorandum of Understanding of Scientific Cooperation between the Czech Science Foundation (GACR) and Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) was signed in Bonn. Another Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Czech Science Foundation (GACR) and the National Science Council of Taiwan (NSC) on 3 November 2008 in Prague.

Based on Memorandums of Understanding, GACR Presidium published on March 10, 2010
