The ESF supports about 50 Exploratory Workshops a year across all scientific domains. The workshops give researchers from different European countries opportunity to meet in interactive group sessions. They are aimed at opening up new directions in research.Read more about Exploratory Workshops on www.esf.org/activities/exploratory-workshops.html
Research Networking Programmes
Research Networking Programmes lay the foundation for nationally funded research groups to address major scientific and research infrastructure issues. The programme activities include workshops, conferences, courses, schools, various types of exchange and scholarship programmes. Research Conferences
ESF Research Conferences (earlier EURESCO) provide the opportunity for the leading scientists and younger researchers to meet informally for discussions on the most recent developments in their fields of research. Topics will be at the forefront of scientific research and interdisciplinary when appropriate. They will act as a catalyst for creating new synergistic contacts throughout Europe and the rest of the world.Read more about Research Conferences on www.esf.org/activities/esf-conferences.html
Forward Looks
The ESF Forward Look is a new instrument, which will enable Europe's scientific community to develop medium to long term views and analyses of future research developments in multidisciplinary topics, and interact with the policy makers from ESF Member Organisations.Read more about Forward Looks at www.esf.org/activities/forward-looks.html
Member Organisations Fora
Member Organisation Fora is a new strategic ESF instrument which has been developed to engage in networking, exchange of best practice and the development of new strategies in topics that do not need calls for proposals or research funding by that time. The MO Fora in Peer Review and in Social Sciences in Eastern and Central Europe (MOCEE) were launched in 2006 and the MO Fora in the areas of Evaluation of Research Programmes and in Research Careers were launched in 2007. In 2008, the action of the MO Forum on Research Integrity was taken up.Read more about the MO Fora at www.esf.org/activities/mo-fora.html
