The EURYI Award Ceremony
Prague, 13th October 2006

The EURYI Award Ceremony was held on 13th October 2006 at Kaiserstejnsky Palace in Prague’s Lesser Town. Grants for research projects were awarded to 25 young scientists mostly from European countries. The speakers in the ceremony were: Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic Miroslava Kopicová, President of the Academy of Sciences Václav Pačes and on behalf on Conference of Rectors, rector of the Czech Technical University Václav Havlíček. The EuroHORCs President Peter Nijkamp and executive director of ESF Bertil Anderson took part as representatives of the organizers. The Nobel price holder Torsten Wiesel, assisted by the GACR President, presented awards and diplomas to awardees.
